honestly i don't really know what a final fantasy vi is like.. but i am enticed by your beautiful costume and now i get the feeling of how good the game could be
beautiful costume !
i don't usually like the style of this kind of clothing, but, yours' is an exception ..! because you do it with brocade, laces, stones, and everything fits perfectly into a harmony ! none of it stand out too much, that i could get an impression that this is not cosplay at all..!
By the way, do you have any suggestions on how to make the top? I am currently working on Terra's strapless, and I am terrified that it is going to drive me nuts by slipping down. So far my plans are to add some boning, and I bought some trim to go along the top edge (similar to yours). Did your "curve shape" at the top help it? How did you do it like that, if you don't mind sharing some tips
Hi there! Sorry for the delay - this didn't show in my inbox! Boning would probably help an awful lot! Mine closes at the back with a zip and the material itself has a little bit of a stretch to it. I ensured it was properly fitted to my figure and it stayed up more or less by itself. I used a closed zip which hindered me slightly, in hindsight I should have used an open one XD I did have to adjust the top a few times during the day as it does regretfully slip a little over time, but it wasn't too bad! The curve at the top of my top was purely to match the reference =]
What you could do to help avoid it slipping is use skin glue/tape to help hold it in place, I will definitely be doing so in the future! Hope that helps somewhat and goodluck with your costume
Hahaha an open zip is a zipper that once unzipped comes apart in two pieces, this allows more freedom with the fitting of the garment since you can literally wrap it round and zip it up rather than attempting to fit it on over your head like a shirt. A closed zip is as you've probably guessed by now - a zip that once unzipped stays joined together at the bottom C:
I think since Terra's top will sit much better since it can rest on the hips, whereas mine had nothing below it to help support the weight! So a good fitting and some skin glue and you should be all set!
